A garage was broken into
Wednesday, March 25th, between 2-7am, on Horseshoe Bend Court. Items
were stolen from the garage and an unlocked car inside the
(locked-up) garage. The suspects seemed to be walking because some
items were discarded in a neighbor's yard, in the direction of
Strawberry Road. There were also items stolen from a car on Waterton
Road the same evening, (neighborhood off Strawberry).
The detective assigned to these cases provided two websites that the
community can access, and may be beneficial to see reported crimes
in your area. The police department is still getting acclimated to
the second site mentioned below, they began using it January 2015.

From a neighbor in Polo Farms: "The deputy said they have had a lot
of calls about cars being broken into. He also said he has
personally arrested 2 guys this month carrying guns. People should
be very vigilant about setting their alarms and watching out in
the neighborhood. He said they operate by having 2 guys to come
to a house - one goes to the door and if no one answers the other
goes to the back of the house and breaks in. So if you are home let
the person at the door know that. Don't answer the door, but let
them know you are there. If your kids are home alone have them call
out for the parents to come to the door. The deputy said not to
hesitate in calling them for any reason." |
